Missions & Outreach

Isabelle Thomas

I grew up as one of six kids, raised by a loving worship pastor and a fearless stay-at-home mom. Overflow Church has always been home to me, and I was there every time the doors were open. I grew up attending Sunday school, youth camps, Fine Arts competitions, and mission trips that helped shape my faith from a young age.

As a teenager, I had the opportunity to be the first student from Overflow to attend a mission trip to Haiti. During that trip, God broke my heart for missions and for people in need, growing in me a passion that continues to guide my life and ministry today.

I attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. During my time there, I was heavily involved in the university’s missions department, leading trips and gaining experience in outreach, leadership, and serving communities both locally and globally.

After graduating in 2025, I joined the team at Overflow Church. Since then, I have loved serving our community, helping people see that they have a place in missions, and watching people truly experience the love of Jesus.

My Hope for Overflow Church

My hope for Overflow Church is that we would be a people who make outreach regular, seeing and knowing in our community. To believe that whether across the street or across the world, God has called all of us to be lifestyle missionaries, sharing the Good News of Jesus and living a life of servanthood where He sends us.
